Lion Tamara (Tammy) Thomas was born and raised in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, just three miles from Camp Dogwood. Tammy was actively involved in volunteering with youth for many years. She served church as youth leader and was actively involved with youth in County 4-H programs for many years.
Lion Tammy became a member of the Sherrills Ford Lions Club in Sherrills Ford, NC where she is currently serving as Club President and as a Board Member, District Secretary and District LCIF Chair. During her membership Lion Tammy has also served as Club President, Vice President, Secretary and Membership Chairs, District L Zone 4 and 8 Chair and District Secretary. Tammy also serves on the McCune Board as Secretary and Volunteer Chair.
Lion Tammy has received a Sid L Scruggs III, Beacon of Hope Fellowship Lighthouse, Sid L Scruggs III, Beacon of Hope Steps to Service, 1st and 2nd Level of the Ambassador as well as an International President Certificate of Appreciation.
Lion Tammy has been married to Lion Jerry Thomas since 1996. Lion Tammy has two adult children; Lion Josh and Lisa. She is currently serving as Camp Director at Camp Dogwood.
